Is your life
a little crazy?
Have you
ever had a dentist appointment that you thought was at 10:40am only to get a
call from the dentist’s office at 10:10am asking you where you are and letting
you know that the appointment was actually at 10! (yeah, that just happened
last week). Do you wish you had a great little planner where you could write
down all your appointments, to-do’s, weekly menu, and more?
If you
answered yes to any of the above questions then you are in luck! I would like
to introduce you to a great planner that you are sure to love.
The Home
Executive Planner
by Jen Boss of Picket Fence Publications
A couple
weeks ago Jen emailed me and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing one of her
planners. I said ‘YES!’ of course (especially after my dentist incident).
Jen is a
wife, a mom, and an independent graphic designer. Two years ago she finally
acted on an idea that she had been thinking of for quite some time. She could
never find the planner that had everything she needed, so she decided to take
matters into her own hands and designed the perfect planner for her and the
other women she knew.
When I
received the planner I immediately fell in love with it. I think Jen did an amazing
job with her planner. Not only does it have some awesome features, but it is
pretty too! And I don’t know about you, but if something is pretty it makes me
want to use it that much more. :)
Some of the awesome features are:
Sturdy
plastic covers (front & back)
Full color
pages
Three
schedule columns
Weekly
shopping list
Holiday menu
planning
Inside
pockets
18 yummy
recipes (yum!)
Weekly meal
planning (love!)
Over 600
stickers
Here are some other things I personally liked.
This planner
begins in August and goes until August 2013 (at the end of the planner it does
include a full month calendar of September, October, November & December,
just not the weekly calendar).
I think this
is great for any mother with children in school. Because if you’re like me,
when the year ends it takes me a little while to go out and buy a calendar, and
sometimes don’t even get around to buying one. With Jen’s planner I will be set
from the beginning of school to the end.
I absolutely
love her ‘Dinners’ column. I have to plan a weekly menu, or else we would be
stuck eating chicken nuggets and macaroni, haha. I love cooking and trying new
recipes, so I love planning my menu.
And then right
beside the menu is the groceries list. Brilliant!
And since we’re
talking about cooking and food, another thing I’m loving about this planner is
the recipe for every month. Yep, every month Jen shares a yummy recipe for you
to try.
If you read
the features of the planner and saw the 600 stickers and are thinking ‘Why do I
need stickers?’, just you wait and see!
Jen has
included the best stickers in her planner. The first page of stickers is for
all the church things in your life:
Temple,
meeting, Feeding the Missionaries, Visiting Teaching, Mutual, Stake and General
Conference, and so many more!
The second and
third pages have to do with family and school:
Date,
meeting, Game Day, Birthday, School, Doctor, Dentist (yep, I already added some
of these), Laundry, and many more.
